    Message from the Director Academy

    Established in 1976 with the objective of training new as well as mid career officers, Federal Investigation Agency Academy (FIAA) aspires to become the leading institute for White Collar Crimes in the region. To this end, various courses are offered at the FIAA on a wide array of topics to build the capacity of the officers of FIA and other sister law enforcement agencies like National Accountability Bureau, Anti Narcotics Force and all provincial Anti Corruption Establishments.  After the pandemic, FIAA faced difficulty to carry out its prime duty of imparting trainings but  with the help of ICMPD this stumbling block was turned into a stepping stone and Zoom licenses were purchased to continue the trainings. Hence, FIAA became a pioneer in imparting on-line trainings in the public sector. With the advancement of technology, FIAA has realized the importance of online platforms in the future. For this purpose, FIAA actively collaborated with ICMPD for the development of Moodle platform which will prove to be instrumental in training delivery. FIAA looks forward to the continued support of ICMPD in the domain of Capacity Building in future as well.

    Welcome to the Federal Investigation Agency Academy (FIAA) Online Training Platform.

    The FIAA Online Training Platform has been designed to support the overall training infrastructure of the Academy through the adoption of a hybrid training delivery methodology. This online training platform is a forward thinking solution to compliment the face-to-face training that were otherwise restricted due to COVID19 situation.

    The Platform serves as a single point of access for participating in pre-scheduled distance learning courses, including live tutorials, online learning courses, assessment and evaluation activities as well as providing essential reading on various topics. This is a trainer led training Platform that provides an interactive learning environment to the trainees via remote access.

    The platform provides access to the following courses:

    • Basic level orientation courses for the new entrants
    • Annual promotion courses
    • Customised training courses offered through the Academy partners such as foreign missions, foreign law enforcement agencies and international organizations 

    The FIAA Online Training Platform has been established under the framework of the FIA’s 5-year Strategic Plan for the FIA Academy (2020-2025), with a vision to transform the Academy into a Centre of Excellence for trainings in the Region.
